Pink dyed hair is on the catwalks, and on the streets too.

LONG SKIRTS AT BERLIN FALL/2012 FASHION WEEK At last Berlin Fashion Week, long skirts were invaded at a lot of shows. We made a selection, to show you many possible ways to wear them. Doesn’t matter the fabric or the colour, you can wear one at day or in the night, in a hippie style, or to walk over the red carpet. Lala Berlin, Birds printed silk skirt.

“SLOW SEATING- CONTEMPORARY CHINESE DESIGN” At Fuori Salone Exhibitions (Outside of  Milan Furniture Fair), one catched our attention, a project which pays tribute to Chinese design & creativity. The project was curated by renowned Chinese designer Zhu Xiaojie, and shows us some new face from the asiatic giant. In words of Mr. Zhu, whom selected over 60 Chinese designers to reflect upon the significance of the chair, theme of the exhibition, as an object apt for meditation & rest. “Chairs are symbols of “home”, a place to slow down ….. think about our purpose, our families, & our lives. I

MOTHER NATURE INVADES THE MILANESE “SALONE DEL MOBILE”. The biggest international design fair, Salone del Mobile in Milano, this year keeps going green, not only trying to save water or energy with the new desings. It goes green also by fulling everything with real plants to decorate, and using wood in a quantity of objects, sometimes imitating its form, colour and aspect.

ANTHONY VACCARELLO + GUISEPPE ZANOTTI At Anthony Vaccarello Fall-Winter/2012-13 show, we could finally see the results of the collaboration between the creator and the shoes designer Giuseppe Zanotti. For the first time the two designers join their talents to create a capsule collection of four models. This collection is the fruit of Zanotti admiration for Vaccarello’s Work. As Zanotti expresses ” I’ve following Anthony’s work for some time now. I’m full of admiration for his talent and creativity, it’s the reason behind my desire to work with him”.

ALL ABOUT THAKOON FALL-WINTER/2012 SHOW For Fall-winter/2012, Thakoon presented a collection in which he mixed minimal cuts with futuristic neon prints. Skirts, dresses and sweaters are painted in lipstick colours, but the lipsticks too became prints on elegant dresses. To contrast shiny tones, Thakoon used black, grey and oatmeal. Oversize leather basketweave are one of the artisan details enriching some pieces , while others are embroidered with peacock feathers designs. The luxury touch are the maxi-cardigans and sweaters made in mongolian fur knit.
