Here are my thoughts. What makes Jamie’s cerimagnaphs work is that the motion is subtle but fluid. In some cases she gets away with just 8 frames, and others there are 30+ frames. It’s a fleeting moment of life that’s seamlessly repeating. Maybe even a detail that we might overlook in real life, but having it be the only thing moving in an otherwise still photo suddenly makes the mundane so interesting.So what would make your attempt work better was if the balloon was just waving ever so slightly, and you had more frames to fill in that motion. (provided there are conditions in which your balloon might wave so gently so as to have the animation realistic). Kudos for attempting already something I’d like to take a crack at but haven’t done so yet. Keep it up!
