THE BEAUTY OF ERJONA ALA At Fall-Winter/2011-12 shows, one model walked exclusively for Nicholas Ghesquiere collection for Balenciaga, her name is Erjona Ala . Erjona is Kristiansand, Norway, born model, with Albanian roots, because her parents are from Kosovo. In 2010 she participated at International Elite Model Look constest, and got the second place. Soon she started to be called by agencies, brands and photographers out of her country. At Fall-Winter 2012/13 shows she walked in all the most important shows. We’ve selected some of the most special make-ups and hairstyles, to show her beauty.
ARCHITECTURE & FASHION, MUSEO SOUMAYA The new Museum Soumaya – Carlos Slim Foundation in Mexico D.F. is a new urbanistic monument in one of the biggest cities in the world. The building structure looks like a shiny silver cloud reminiscent of a Rodin sculpture, was designed by the Mexican architect Fernando Romero, and engineered with Ove Arup and Frank Gehry.
PACO RABANNE’S “1966 DRESS IN ALUMINIUM DISKS” BY MANISH ARORA. In 1999 Paco Rabanne announced his retirement from his own brand and the fashion world, after that, the homonymous fashion house started the search of a designer that could keep the experimental way of work that Rabanne showed for more that 30 years. Names as Rosemary Rodriguez and Patrick Robinson passed by the house without any succes, and after a pause in pret-a-porter since 2006, the house put its eyes on the already named as the indian Rabanne, Manish Arora.
