MIRROR, MIRROR ON THE HEEL, WHICH ONE IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SHOE? Designers takes inspiration from Snow White Fairy Tale to create their Fall-Winter/2012 heels, using the mirror (Universal vanity symbol), to decorate it. Mirror or mirror effect is what we found in common in this shoes selection, now the women can see their own reflexion on their heels and ask, “Magic mirror on my heel , ¿Who is the fairest of them all?” And maybe, just maybe the shoe answer: “You, my queen, are the fairest of all.”
SPRING-SUMMER 2012, SHOES OR SCULPTURES? The obsession for shoes design increases every season, and for the Spring-Summer 2012 some designers deepened a bit and created pieces difficult to catalogue, because their forms are unusual, they look more like art pieces, sculptures, ready to be shown in a museum, rather than on people’s feet.
Some Paris Homme Fashion week designers seemed to be inspired by the 40′s argentinian Political Movement called “Descamisados” (Shirtless), and suggest elegant suits without any shirt underneath for Spring Summer 2012 collections. We don’t know if it’s just a fashion trend or a political declaration, but we could see it in almost all shows. Sebastian Sauve walking at Christian Lacroix Homme SS/2012
